Children’s books by Gary Alker

Mavzi and the Missing Star is an illustrated bedtime adventure for ages 3–7. A missing light in the night sky leads Mavzi towards unexpected discoveries and a new friend.

Quivori: Don’t Look Down and Quivori: Don’t Turn Around put readers aged 6+ in charge of the journey. Alongside Mavzi, readers choose their path, search for hidden picture clues and discover different endings.

The Quivori Colouring Book offers 40 magical pictures to colour, opening another way to spend time in the world.

A world of curiosity and companionship

Magic, adventure and friendship run through Quivori in different ways: kindness and curiosity in Mavzi’s bedtime story, choices and companionship in the branching adventures, and imagination in the colouring book. Explore the four published books or discover new imagined scenes in the artwork gallery.

Beyond the books

Alongside writing, Gary is a Group Finance Director and experienced business leader. He is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA, CGMA), a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI), and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Gary swaps spreadsheets and business strategy for floating islands, curious creatures and hidden secrets when creating the world of Quivori.
