What if your child could choose what happens next?
Imagine opening a book and finding that the adventure is waiting for you to make the next move. One path might lead somewhere wonderful. Another might bring an unexpected surprise. Suddenly, turning the page is not the only decision to make.
That is the fun of interactive adventure books for children aged 6–10. The reader is not simply watching the story unfold. They have a hand in where it goes.
Every choice opens a different door
Some children love mysteries. Others enjoy fantasy worlds, unusual characters or the chance to explore a place that could never exist in real life. An interactive story brings those interests together by offering decisions along the way.
There is no need to find the perfect route. If one ending leaves you wondering what you missed, you can go back and try another. The same book may have more to discover the next time it is opened.
Reading an adventure together
Try taking turns reading until you reach a choice. Then hand the decision to your child. Ask which option they fancy, follow it and see what happens. Sometimes the most entertaining part is hearing why they chose that particular path.
If your child would rather explore independently, that is fine too. The important thing is that the story feels like theirs to enjoy.
