One more story before bed?
There is something lovely about sharing a story at the end of the day. A few quiet minutes, a world waiting to be discovered and perhaps a request for one more page before the light goes out.
Bedtime story books for children aged 3–7 do not all need to be sleepy or serious. A little wonder, a character to care about and an ending that feels satisfying can be just right.
Find a story that suits your child
Some children want to study every picture. Some want to hear the words again and again. Others cannot wait to tell you what they think will happen next. There is no single way to enjoy a bedtime book.
For younger listeners, clear illustrations and familiar feelings can make a story easy to follow. Older children may enjoy spotting clues or noticing something new on a second reading. Let their curiosity set the pace.
Let the pictures do some talking
Before turning a page, you might ask what your child has noticed. Perhaps there is a tiny detail tucked into the corner or an expression that tells its own story. You do not have to stop at every picture. Sometimes it is enough to read, listen and enjoy being together.
A little star, a little magic
Mavzi and the Missing Star introduces younger readers to the magical world of Quivori and its little orange companion, Mavzi, whose two tiny white wings are rather small for such big adventures.
Whether you read a new story or return to an old favourite, the best bedtime routine is often the one that works for your family. You can find more illustrated stories on the Quivori books page.
