Inside Quivori: one world, four ways to explore

Final vibrant cover of the Quivori Colouring Book by Gary Alker.

Quivori is a world of floating islands, curious creatures and discoveries that reward a closer look. Its four published books offer different ways to enter that world, from taking charge of an adventure to sharing a quieter moment with a younger child.

When the reader chooses

In Don’t Look Down and Don’t Turn Around, the reader becomes the hero. Choices change the route, and hidden picture clues make looking part of reading. The illustrations can hold information as well as atmosphere; pausing over an image becomes part of the adventure.

When a little creature leads the way

Mavzi and the Missing Star gives younger listeners a different experience. Instead of choosing the route, they follow Mavzi’s search and meet an unexpected friend. The familiar world becomes a setting for a shared illustrated story about curiosity and kindness.

When the reader adds the colours

The Quivori Colouring Book changes the invitation again. Forty magical pictures provide starting points, while the artist decides how they will look. A place described in a story can inspire a colour choice, but imagination can also take it somewhere entirely different.

The thread between them

Companionship gives the world a heart. Whether meeting Mavzi, noticing Tib’s worry or discussing a choice with someone reading beside you, there is room for kindness within the adventure. The collection lets families choose the form that suits the moment.
