A magical world needs more than extraordinary places. It needs someone to share the next step. Friendship is part of the magic of Quivori: through uncertain paths and unexpected turns, small acts of kindness can make a difference.
An unexpected friend
In Mavzi and the Missing Star, Mavzi sets out looking for his favourite star and meets a curious little blue creature. Their companionship brings warmth to a journey full of strange lights and unfamiliar places. The story invites younger readers to notice both the wonder around Mavzi and the kindness beside him.
One choice is part of a longer journey
The choose-your-path adventures give this idea another shape. A decision can send the reader somewhere unexpected. Returning to a choice reveals a different possibility, encouraging curiosity about the paths left unexplored. “One wrong turn doesn’t have to decide how the story ends” captures that hopeful spirit.
Make room for a small conversation
After reading together, try one gentle question: what helped a character feel less alone? A child might point to a companion, a helpful gesture or simply someone staying nearby. There is no need for a perfect answer; noticing a detail together can be enough.
